Resumption of Flight Operations Following the Call-Off of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Workers’ Strike.

Kenya Airways is pleased to confirm that our operations have returned to normal, with the full flight schedule restored and backlogs cleared across our network. Most customers affected by the recent disruption have now reached their final destinations, while our teams continue to assist those requiring support.

To ensure you receive the latest updates on your flight, please update your contact details through Manage My Booking.

Passengers whose flights are directly affected by the disruption may be eligible for the following rebooking and refund options:

1. Waiver on Reservation Changes/Re-issues

• All changes and reissues must be completed by 7th September 2026.
• Applicable to tickets issued on or before 30th August 2026.
• Applicable to tickets with original travel dates on or after 30th August 2026.

2. Waiver on Cancellations and Refunds

Affected passengers may request a refund as follows:

• Eligible refund requests must be submitted by 7th September 2026
• Applicable to tickets issued on or before 30th August 2026.
• Applicable to tickets with original travel dates on or after 30th August 2026.

Terminal Operations Change at JKIA

To improve guest experience and streamline operations during upcoming infrastructure renovations at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), select flights will relocate operations to Terminal 1C (T1C) effective Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Flights Relocating to Terminal 1C (T1C)

Morning Departure Wave:

• All Precision Air (PW) Flights

Evening Departure Wave:

• KQ886 – Bangkok / Guangzhou (BKK/CAN)

Unchanged Flight Operations

Terminal 1A (T1A):

All other KQ flights not listed above will continue to operate from Terminal 1A as usual.

Please verify your departure terminal on your e-ticket or mobile pass prior to arriving at the airport and allow extra time for check-in and security screening.
